I don't understand why the OP didn't say something like "Ever notice how Salma Hayek is hot?" Then everyone would come in and say, "Yeah, I totall agree with you Doggiedog." And then when pyonir least expects it... BAM!!! owned, suddenly everyone thinks he's a postcount neffing troll.

I'm pretty sure damp air can hold more heat.. so maybe your fridge is more efficient in the winter due to the higher humidity?
Come on man I would have expected a more scientific answer from you.
It has to do with the boiling points of the refrigerant in the high and low pressure line. If the ambient air temperature is below the boiling point, the refrigerant cannot transfer the heat properly and essentially the process stops.
This is why heat pumps often freeze up if the coils are not kept clean.

and for the record, I am much more of a postcount seaking, thread hijacking, neffing troll

thank you, that is all

The OP's question (which is now gone) said the inside temperature was the same in both winter and summer. Obviously if the house is too cold the fridge cannot transfer the heat effectively.

Still such a condition has NOTHING to do with humidity and everything to do with ambient temperature. Assuming the device is in good operationg condition.

On another note, I didn't realize until later that this is simply a neffing thread and hijack is really the point.
