Holy Temperature

Um...so my GPU is currently at 60 C...and I had nothing running. How am I to fix this so I see a signeficant change. I'm running a eVGA 7800 GT.

Thanks

sounds normal to me. If it runs hotter than 80C load -- then there's a problem. Is there proper ventilation in your case? I made a hole directly above my card and skillfully installed a Tri-Cool fan right about them. x1900xtxxxx crossfire @ 65C load

60C sounds hot for an idle 7800GT. Even my passively cooled factory overclocked 7800GT seldom went above 50C during idle.

60c idle is kinda warm for a 7800gt, 44-50c on stock cooling should be the norm..as gersson mentioned, good airflow is a must. what are your load temps?

what is your ambient temp? for your idle temp to sound right, hopefully you live in a hot place. you might want to check your case ventilation though.
