Yea, they are going to be the best 99$ booshelfs you may ever find. As far as liking them, any speaker is personal preference. I have a Energy Take system and dont like the sats for fronts but love the FPS for fronts/center.

Dammit I wanted to wait to buy speakers. But I figure I can use these for surrounds if I buy some towers later. Too bad the C300s are so hard to find now.

It's generally not considered very important to have matching surrounds to go with a system, so joining these with different towers won't be much of an issue.

Also picked up the Energy C-C100 center at buy.com for $114 (124 with tax shipped). Yeah I know Audioadvisor has them but I want them in black.

I would guess they would match -- they both have a 1" aluminum dome tweeter, which is the important point.

The main difference seems to be in woofers: 2x4.5" or 2x5.5". The C-C100 claims around 10Hz lower frequency response. It won't matter much if you're using a subwoofer, I would guess.

I ended up getting a C-C50 center to go with these C-100's as well
