I'm *right* on the west border of illinois, it's raining heavily here right now, and it rained like crazy last night. Not quite flooding, although it might still.

I always thought Salem was named after Winston-Salem, NC where RJ Reynolds is/was based. They have one brand called Winston, and one called Salem.

Where in Wisconsin are you? I'm in Waukesha and we got a bunch, but it wasn't all that much. Not much more rain in the forecast anymore so things should dry out a bit again.

Well, it's sunny and humid right now, and there's no more rain for tonight . . . phew . . . but there's supposed to be rain for the rest of the weekend . . ..

Yeah, driving by, I saw debris and water pumps left and right on the roads/buildings, etc.

Good thing I'm going home tonight! :)

Living in Bloomington, I can say that this place was basically a lake last night. My backyard had a river through it. My firend tells me that his dad has a friend that was "white water rafting" down the local creek. Actually, I have some interesting pictures of damage from the storm that came through Bloomington/Normal with 100+ mph winds.

I have to go to work now, but I'll post some of those pictures when I get back. I can't use the location to host these pictures that I had originally.

I'm about to go to chicago - but the weather's PERFECT here - it's a bright moon outside, the cool breeze is flowing, the weather's cool . . .. I hope it's like this in chicago!
