That house was built in 1898? Look like a townhouse down here.

How the property tax is so cheap <$350/year>? I thought Lousiana property tax was the cheapest in the US due to $75,000 home tax excemption.

I like the wooden look floor, hate carpet myself. Bestwishes OP.

I love those hardwood floors and I bet you'll really enjoy the rooftop deck when warmer weather rolls around. It's a beauty, congratulations!

That is a sweet house. Knowing ATOT, I was expecting some McMansion in a suburb of some crappy city where you get the most square feet for your money.

here is the property My New Home

Estimated Property Tax: $ 350

That's awesome

Looks like an awesome place! Is that last photo the view from the roof? I love the look of the wood floors and marble/granite countertops.

Now I am expecting an announcement for a wild St Patrick's Day party at your new digs soon. 😉

man that is a REALLY nice house! my house here in LA county, the valley (which my mom owns), is now valued at $500k+ and is no where NEAR as nice as that! in fact comparing bathrooms i would say this house is a dump! i wish cost of living was cheaper here =\

Congratulations! The kitchen is really nice!

Not to pee on your parade...just commenting. Though you've now got a nice asset in your portfolio and a huge tax writeoff, you've STILL got neighbors on either side of all your walls. You'll still hear them, and them, you. 🙁 You're living in a very expensive apartment. I wouldn't have bought that place for that exact reason.

But, it does look very nice and if you're happy, that's all that matters. 🙂

beautiful home.

usually I make fun of people paying city prices but that home looks like it's actually worth what you spent.

congrats

🙁
<-- lives in a mini-mcMansion in a suburb of a crappy city.

ONE DAY, OH YES ONE DAY...i'll have something bigger in this suburb of a crappy city.

BTW, nice crib OP. Nothing beats owning your own home, even if it's in the suburb of a crappy city.

That place is beautiful inside for sure.

For some, that's city living and there's nothing wrong with that.

Myself, I would never get over the feeling that I was living in an apartment. I hope you have quiet neighbors.
