Why would I be Korean? The Koreans in this thread are those obsessed with not abandoning their heritage or whatever. I'm a whitey and I say people should do whatever makes them feel better (even if it is only an unfortunate consequence of societal pressures).

I'm dating a Korean chick right now and from what I gather, its not so much that they want to be White but rather have certain features. Is a nasal bridge or double eyelid/round eyes exclusive to Whites? Because last I checked I have them, Arabs have them, Indians got 'em and so do all Hispanics. :hmm:

Personally I think Asian women are lucky because they seem to age at 1/5th the speed a White woman does. Most White girls I dated (I'm 35) when I was in my 20s that are my age look haggard now yet the half Chinese girl still looks young. My gf is 31 and everyone thinks she's 24 and are shocked when she mentions being over 30. So I'd rather have skin that endures aging vs having to get botox + plastic surgery just to keep it from hanging off my face. Lastly, Asian chicks don't have much hair at all vs other ethnicity's, so I guess when White girls and others get their hair lasered off, they must be trying to look Asian?

I think there certainly is merit to the argument that some want to look White (and I've even said as much before) but I don't think that anyone can claim it applies to 100% of those seeking to augment their looks with surgery in Korea.

P.S. The vast majority of the ones I know don't want to look White but rather like Kim Tae Hee who everyone in Korea idolizes (she's natural):

I think a huge cause of the rate of "aging" is the difference in society's views on tanning. From what I can see, there isn't a huge push to spend 1/2 hour a day, 7 days a week in a tanning salon in Korea, while here, you've got the Kardashian's on television advertising how everyone looks sooo much better with a tan. (And, every time I see that porker who says "it makes you look 10 pounds lighter," something triggers a memory of images of Big Mama Cass Elliot.

I'm saying that the whole "you need double eyelids to have bigger eyes thing" is just a stupid and invalid excuse. Double eyelids is all about...some weird self-esteem thing that only the person in the mirror recognizes. Most people in America wouldn't even notice it.

People can do what they want, obviously, but they should be condemned to high hell for their decision.

Oh... and I meet a lot of Korean girls, and it's shocking to me how much they do to themselves. Aside from the "no way in hell" boobs, it's mostly not that bad.

My favorite had large C's on her 5'0" 90lb frame, and she upgraded to D's. It's like two unripened pomelos pressed up against me when we hug or press up against one another... but it makes her happy, and she can't stop staring at herself... and touching herself... and that sort of makes me happy. 😛


I have met a few who have noses and upper lips that no longer move with the rest of their face, and that's just disturbing and distracting.

Whatever, though. If it makes them happy, who am I to judge?

As an asian guy I still contend that double is much more attractive. This is a good example. Don't believe it typically makes eyes bigger. That's not what makes it attractive. Even some white girls with squinty eyes but double eyelids are very attractive to me.
