OK.

I was in the Office Depot in Downtown LA, and I saw that the Pinnacle Studio DC10+ video editing card was on clearance!

Normally they run for $59.99.

However, they were on clearance for $14.99.

HOLY CRAP

Check them out on ebay.

Now, this is a pretty hot deal here!!!

The actual store sku's are 5 or 6 digits. That must be the UPC.

Thanks for the post!

I believe this is the analog version and not the digital video model but still worth it if you are using analog tape.

i tried to find it online..but i can't seem to locate it anywhere on their website...

i can go down to my local OD and see if they have any more of them left and pick 'em up for u fellas.

but i gotta get off work first!

This card cannot work with XP/Win2000, unless you purcahse Studio 7.0 as well. :(

Does the Studio DC10plus (Studio DC10+) or Studio AV7 support Windows 2000 or XP?

Answer
The Studio 1.XX software included with Studio DC10plus does not support Windows 2000 or Windows XP. To run the Studio software on Windows 2000 or Windows XP an upgrade to Studio 7 is required.

While the Studio 7 software does support Windows XP and Windows 2000, it does not currently support the Studio DC10plus and Studio AV hardware on Windows 2000 or Windows XP

We are currently working on an update to the Studio 7 software that will add support for DC10plus and Studio AV hardware on Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Our current schedule is to release February, 2002. This update will be free download for Studio 7 owners.

The Studio 7 software upgrade is $59 for US customers. and is available at https://instore.pinnaclesys.com

Chichi - thanks for pointing it out, got excited before thinking about compatibility. Having spent a lot of time to get the PCTV pro to work on XP, I don't think I want to deal with any more. I'll pass...

If your anywhere between Miami & West Palm Beach FL don't waste your time looking. I say your chances with these anywhere is pretty slim they have been on clearance for over a month.

No problem. I got bad experiences dealing with PCTV Pro too. I found that most of their products cannot support either Win2000/XP well. When you question them, they will tell you something like "this product is designed for multimedia/home use, it is not supposed to work with OS of business purpose like Windows 2000/NT". But now, when Microsoft says XP is for home use too, Pinnacle works on Win2000/XP drivers but they want you to pay for the new drivers. *^$%*)*

This item has been on clearance for over a month now. It was 25.99 when i got mine 2 weeks ago or so. I cleaned out the Office Depot in Paramus, NJ. Figured I would save someone some time.

The SKU for this is 634771. At least thats what my boxes had on them. Forget about finding it on the website. Its not there.

Actually, beta drivers for Win XP has been released. However, it is only for the Studio 7 software. I think the DC10+ package you are referring might contain Studio 1.06. The upgrade price for Studio 7 is around $50+. I think that's how much we paid for it last year. By the way, that was with current customers discount.
