Judging by the layout of the road and trees and apparent violcence of impact based on the remainder of vehicle debris, one would expect this not to be an impact resulting from a single tree.

There is too much vehicle damage on all sides to result from deformation pertaining to a mid-vehicle severance.

Likely this was a high speed collision with one tree followed by a series of progressively lower speed ping-pong like impacts as the car disintegrated and rolled.

Initial impact: tree near road missing bark, passenger side of vehicle. Secondary high force impact to front of car.

Drive safely,
PCM

An accident just like this one happened in front of my house about a year ago. It was a honda civic- the driver was going 90 in a 35. He hit a tree in front of a steak house- the car was cut clean in half. The driver walked away without a scratch but the passengers- his sister, 4 year old daughter and friend all died. Their bodies were about 100 feet from my front step.

Seriously disturbing.

Edit: Details.

I guess two died, not three.

Clean of what? blood? probably not going to get much blood on the seats if the people are ejected.

The little A3 could be traveling way faster than 80km/h. I'm sure as it went into a sideway skid, the wheels slowed down and so did the speedometer reading. The car could still be skidding at 120km/h (80+/-mph??) while the reading only showed 80 at the moment of impact.

I think he's still in jail. No doubt he'll do 15-20. I wanted to snap some photos of it but the cops left the bodies just laying out there for hours, it would have been pretty disgraceful of me so I passed.

The real world is a little different than this virtual pit of human despair. Besides, I'd seen worse. It was interesting to see them clean the scene up, then the next day no one was none the wiser. Sanitized, for your protection.

Life goes on.

I've made some mention of my real world self. Many times people think I'm full of crap with my stories so I digress, even though they're all true.

Besides I'm still not convinced you're not all bots.:D

Somehow the setup/scenario looks set up to me. In the last few pictures, there are almost no skid marks to indicate the pieces skid to stop. Also,

1. The steering wheel is dented. If the driver got thrown out the car immediately on impact (which can mean that no blood is present around the pieces), then how can the steering wheel get dented?
2. If the driver didn't get thrown out immediately and the dented wheel was the result of his head hitting the wheel, then how come there's no blood?
3. A piece of the engine sits in the third to last picture, but the area around it looks untouched, as if the engine just dropped from the sky.
4. In the 2nd to last picture, it looks like the car was coming from the background of the picture towards the foreground, lost control and side-slammed the tree on the passenger side, causing the car to split in half. If those white sheets are covering the bodies, then there's no way that such an impact can only throw their bodies a few feet.
5. Engine is completely DRY. Last I heard, they needed oil, coolant, and fuel to run properly.
6. Glass in the rear trunk/hatch looks uncracked.

But if it's real, my condolences to the families and friends.

This is what im thinking but tehn again why would someone stage this?

Did anyone else notice that the spedometer was locked in at roughly 90 mph? (in the pic with the pioneer headunit)

Incorrect. Its 90km, as in kilometers per hour. This was not an American car and it was not an accident in America. We still use that old system of measures.

kinda looks like the car just spun out, waked that tree with the door on it sideways, and then that split the car right into two pieces

however, those cars are practicly made of fiberglass, haha, so it doesnt surprise me if this car really wasnt going that fast, hitting a pebble on the road would disintegrate that car....
