It doesn't, it's the ONLY thing that is keeping hockey alive as a sport in the USA . I'd almost lay money down that if you polled all adults in America and asked them to name one thing they liked best about hocky, 98% of them would say the fights. That's simply sad.
EDIT: I just watched the video....why do the announcers keep saying he was "knocked out cold"? He got right back up after 5 seconds after he came to his senses. Being knocked out cold means he went to the ground and stayed there for a considerable time without moving.
