Holy Crapola! Is this game *REALLY* that scarce?!

From what I hear.. yes.

A few stores around my area are over flowing with them.
Debating about reselling them on ebay, but with my luck stores would start to get shipments again and I'd lose a crazy amount of $$

The linked item isn't just a plain Jane WoW box. It's the Uber Collector Nerd King version, with the hardcover art book and a bunch of other nerdly goodness inside. Do you local stores have plenty of copies of THIS version?
 
Apparently this is some rare edition, but in regards to supplies of the regular retail box - yes, it's rare, Blizzard is throttling sales until they're better able to meet with the demand (ie. provide less laggy gameplay). While the mail system can get a bit lagged during primetime, it's already in better shape than many other mmogs, some of which have been out for as long as 6 years.
 
Crap, I wish I would have waited now. I sold an unopened CE on Ebay a few weeks before Christmas for $140 (I paid $80 for it at my local CC).
 
Many of the servers are undergoing a massive hardware upgrade today, so they will likely ship more once it is complete.

not nearly what it is worth (but i got my copy for $40, no special stuff just the game, which that is all you need, if you play WoW you will not have time to look at an artbook or listen to a soundtrack on a separate PC)
