PRE-ORDER sold out in less than 2 minutes (probably less than 1) on amazon. I couldn't get one, despite clicking as fast as i fucking could. Kinda ridiculous...tons of them went on eBay for reselling, which pisses me off a bit.

Do any of you guys know where i can get the bundle for the same price (WITHOUT extra stuff added on like EBgames does)? Guess i can just go to my local Frys whenever its out, i bribed one of the guys to hold one for me.

Just pick it up from Wal-Mart on release day since they will be offering a $100 giftcard with it. A much better deal than Amazon.

This is the new standard 80GB edition so Sony will be making them for awhile.

SonyStyle.com says they will be selling them some time in June and they have a notify button you can use to have them tell you when they start.

Wouldn't mind getting it from there, i get 5X the points. Also, i think tax is excluded, no?

Sony store charges sales tax for orders shipped to all states except the following: Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, Oregon, Nebraska, West Virginia and Wyoming.

People are reselling them on eBay? I thought only the 40 GB was a limited release.

yeah on the one sold through konami is limited. the 80gb/mgs bundle is just a replacement for the old 80gb/motorstorm bundle.

Yep. Also, i hear that walmart doesn't count the bundle in its promotion...but that's just speculation as of now.

LOL it was easier to pre-order the truly limited 40GB gunmetal MGS4 bundle. They'll probably have the 80GB black MGS4 bundle until and after christmas.

I have a feeling they'll replace MGS4 with Resistance 2 for the bundled game in the 80gb, that is, if MGS4 starts a tradition of bundling a AAA title with the 80gb.
Motorstorm was great, but was far from AAA.

That, or around this holiday season, they'll drop the price and stop bundling games.
The PS3 drastically needs to drop down to the 299/399 price point soon.
They are already selling at a good rate that matches the 360 in terms of how well it sold through its first years, and iirc hit the 10million mark around the same time in its lifespan. But if Sony wants the system to start taking a hold of the next-gen market... excluding Wii here, as the Wii is likely to dominate well after Nintendo releases its next system (hopefully a truly next gen system that competes with the PS4 and next Xbox) in much the same way as the PS2 does with the PS3 still being out... but the Wii I'd consider to be in a different market, as it has a vastly different style in its game library and appeals to a different market than the 360/PS3/PS2.
