Learn to drive. You are only 17 and have already been in two accidents.

learn how to drive before you kill someone please. one day you might hit someone you know and then youll really realize how much of a danger you can be

glad you're okay, but why weren't you looking at the traffic ahead of you? if you're that young and you suck that bad at driving, you should not be listening to the radio, talking on a cell phone, or even driving anyone else in the car. i've had one at fault accident in the 5 years i've been driving and that was for semi auto crossing.

rather than spending money to repair your car, how about you use that money to take some more driving lessons?

I suggest you go back to drivers ed, learn how to drive, then buy a padded car preferably made by fisher price.

I have a friend who drives like a TOTAL ass. His thinking is, if the person infront of me is doing it, so can I. This means, if the person infront is running a red light, so can he. When he first started driving (around 20), he had completely no idea of traffic rules. He thought breaking laws was bold and made him look cool. I don't think he has still gotten the concept of those intersections which say "Turn on Green light only". He just takes the turn, no matter what. He got 6 tickets in one day. That is correct, 6 tickets! 3 months later, got 4 more. And all these are for traffic violations. That is exactly the careless attitude he has towards life too.

Well anyways, nothing against LaSt, just wanted to blow some steam.

Minendo is right, learn to drive or get off the road before you really hurt yourself or even worse, someone else.

I've been driving about 6 years and been in only one accident which was back in the day when I drove a motorbike and it was 100% the morons fault who decided to run over me (went flying into the air, over the hood of the car and landed on my head few inches from a traffic sign...).

Well, hmm, i'm not a bad driver, the person in front of me with one brake light (it was a small one) some type of 80's mazda truck, i slammed on brakes, the car skidded (the road was wet), i wasn't speeding, so i let off the brakes a bit, to keep control, and i found out that i couldn't stop in time so i went off the side of the road a bit (to miss him), when he turned i tried to get back on the road, the front end went back, but the rear kept sliding around in the wet mud, and hit a drive way, witch almost broke the tire off. And by the way the first wreck was almost 2 years ago, i'm fixing to be 18 next month. I also have no other traffice tickets (speeding, etc)

Man i wish i drove like a total ass, i mean at least i could be mad at myself for doing something stupid. But both of my wrecks were 1) blind spot, doing about 5 mph 2) people stoping quick in front of me, and me avoiding them

As much as you try to justify your accidents, they were still stupid and STILL your fault, so you SHOULD feel bad about it. Maybe you weren't "driving like an asshole", but just as dangerously since you apparently don't know how to pay enough attention while you drive. If it was raining you shouldn't have been so close to the truck. You should have had enough time to slow down enough without coming that close to him, even considering the wet roads. An accord should have plenty of traction in the rain for safe driving, unless your tires were completely bald.

It took your friend to say "DUDE!" before you realized a truck that was IN FRONT of you was stopped. Don't you have any depth perception?

ya supposed to put two wheels on the road, two off. keep constant speed, and gradually bring it back. like a lane change.
yd driver. woot. :D

anyways that sucks man. you should sue the truck guy for only having one light. the accident gave you whiplash right?! then buy a porsche. problem solved!

Hey, the really really good thing is you didn't damage anyone elses property and no one got hurt. About as lucky as any new driver can hope for because everyone makes some mistakes.

Good Job !!

LOL, thanks a lot man, your a big help, i mean dang the first one was 2 weeks after i got my license.
And that justifies it?

Yeah, i didn't have a clue what i was doing (*edit - public school drivers ed), didn't never look, stop, obey speedlimits etc...., but this one, i made a good desision, it was either to hit a person, or go in the grass. I wasn't like i was gonna hit a stopped person, he just desicded he wanted to turn.

wtf do they teach you in drivers ed then? i took it in public school and they'd damn near bite my head off if i didn't come to an absolutely complete stop (where the car rocks back) behind the line

i think drivers ed is complete cr@p nowadays, i took it about 4 years back, while in class all we did is watch movies, some not even related to driving. Behind the wheel was just ridiculous, the first time i got behind the wheel we went straight onto the freeway, no instructions at all, the guy was on his cell phone the entire time. we ended up going to an auto shop he owned where i sat in the car for half an hour, then to pick up his laundry, and finally to pick up his kid and drop him off somewhere! now i dont really care, cuz i drive just fine, but drivers ed is a joke nowadays
