Live drafts are the best. I have been doing a live draft for one my leagues for three years. It's a great time.

It was without a doubt the most fun I've had drafting... I'll be reducing to only live leagues for next year I think...

wow. RB's are incredible. QB should be above avg. WR's below avg.

Good luck

considering I was 12th pick, and it was a 14 team league... I felt like I made out like an absolute bandit...

Absolute bandit! How the hell did you end up with Jackson and Jordan picking 12th and 17th? Are the other people in your league retarded?

I was completely blown away when Stephen Jackson wasn't taken... I shouted out my pick so fast I almost drooled on myself... and then when Jordan was still there at 17 I actually said outloud "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! Jordan!!"

The key was someone took Brady, Mcgahee and Portis early...

Vernon Davis at TE? Haha, Alex Smith will throw every ball 5 feet over his head, that guy sucks so hard.

LMAO, Alex Smith will end Vernon Davis's career in the 1st regular season game by passing a ball in the middle and have Vernon Davis molested by 2 LBs, and a SS.

yeah... can't say I'm real happy with Davis as my tight end... but there wasn't a whole lot left to choose from at that point in the draft... I took him in the 9th round... Cooley went 1 pick before me... I was DEFINITLY going to take Cooley.

The rounds went like this...
1. Stephen Jackson
2. Lamont Jordan
3. Chris Chambers
4. Daunte Culpepper
5. Lee Evans
6. Chicago
7. Troy Williamson
8. Joseph Addai
9. Vernon Davis
10. Laveraneus Coles
11. Wali Lundy
12. Charlie Frye
13. Greg Jennings
14. Jerome Harrison
15. Stephen Gostkowski

I think I made steals in round 1, 2, 8 and 10... I feel like I struck too early in round 4.

Considering the number of teams in this league though, I think I have a legitimate shot of at least making it deep into the playoffs(8 team playoffs)

yep.....you were drafting with idiots.

Edge at 5....Rudi at 6.....Cadilac at 8 and Brown at 9.

I would say that your draft looks ok....but you might have overreached on Chambers in the 3rd.

Yup, I'd say you were drafting w/ a bunch of tards also. I was lucky to even get my team below - 9th pick out of 10 teams. Yes Portis is banged up on the ol' shoulder.. but he's my boy and I'm expecting him to pull through so I can watch Duckett on the sideline.

1. (6) C. Portis RB
2. (15) L. Jordan RB
3. (26) H. Ward WR
4. (35) M. Hasselbeck QB
5. (46) L. Evans WR
6. (55) T. Green QB
7. (66) C. Cooley TE
8. (75) Ma. Jones WR
9. (86) B. Watson TE
10. (95) T. Jones RB
11. (106) Seattle DEF
12. (115) Indianapolis DEF
13. (126) J. Jurevicius WR
14. (135) M. Barber RB
15. (146) J. Elam K
16. (155) J. Brown K

I just proposed a trade for T. Holt (WR) and J. Plummer (QB) and I'm willing to give up Hines Ward (WR) and M. Hasselbeck (QB). I don't want to take a chance on Ward's injuries throughout the year. Was this a wise decision?

I'm surprised Ronnie Brown didnt go even higher... he's poised for a heck of a year. I honestly thought I was going to get stuck with Portis... or maybe Cadillac... The stupid picks were pretty obvious... the team "Bama Vikings" who took QBs back to back in the first 2 rounds.

As for Chambers, there were only a few high caliber recievers left at that point:

Anquan Boldin
Hines Ward
Plaxico Burress

I spent a long time deciding to go with Chambers over Boldin, and finally went with Chambers based on schedule ease.

But with Wali Lundy looking to be the starter in Houston, my draft just got even better... now I have to decide if I should try to deal him to upgrade my WR corps quickly, or just keep im.

I think that it is a pretty risky move. Ward's hammy is giving him problems, but he's a gamer. That isn't the risky part though.....

I think that Cutler has shown a ton of promise and poise and Shannahan might get a little "itchy" and yank Jake if he puts together a couple bad games in a row. He's never been afraid to start rookies in the backfield and have success....he might be willing to give it a try at QB also.

GMs in your league have, *ahem*, interesting taste.

That said, someone in our 12-team, 15-round draft continued his time honored tradition of drafting Adam Vinatieri 3rd round, soooooo... 🙂

The whole room tried to talk him out of it, but he insisted... his quote:

"There's a method to my madness"

to which I replied...

"No sorry, I think there's madness in your method"
