Holy crap this is a video game

The animations are nice, so with the blurriness it seems almost real, but once the players bump into each other and derp around in typical videogame fashion, the illusion is lost.

We've come a long way - only some very occasional jerky looking movement on the players, but otherwise very realistic.

The crowd looks bizarre though. Do real-life spectators at basketball games keep standing up, waving their arms and sitting down for the whole game? It just looks silly.

NBA 2K12 looks pretty damn good, but I don't think I'd say it was quite photorealistic. Then again, I did catch my roommate playing it one time and ask why basketball was on when the NBA was locked out, so I guess it does have a certain degree of realism to it.

Yeah, the crowds still look weird.

Did anyone else think the crowd kind of didn't know who Kobe was? Maybe it was the bad audio on the audience, but I would think the crowd would be cheering a lot louder to see Kobe.
