I got my free flu shot yesterday at work. My arm was a little sore yesterday, and a tad today. I've been getting the flu shot for the past 8 years, and I've never once gotten sick as a result of getting the flu shot. As in the past, the arm's been sore for a day or two, then goes away. What I love are the retards that get the flu shot, then proceed to go outside in shorts and a t-shirt in the middle of winter, then they bitch and moan because they got sick. Gee, I wonder why. Use your head, take the standard winter precautions, and you'll barely catch a sniffle.

The idea that cold termperatures cause cold/flu is pretty much an old wive's tale. I say "pretty much" because there is a small morsel of truth to it in the following way: Drastic changes in temperature can cause you to get sick, i.e. going in and out between 20F outdoors and 85F house or office. THAT is why you see more flu in the winter.

Yea, I find it pretty surprising that people still believe that cold weather causes colds, flu, etc.
