Holy crap the new Grand Cherokee is WIDE

http://www.edmunds.com/new/200...os.leftsidenav..8.Jeep*

Growing a FOOT in width since the last model from 72 inches to 84 inches..that puts the new GC wider than every full-sized pickup and SUV out there. The widest vehicles that I know of are the H2 and Jaguar XJ I believe which are about 81 inches. Of course there's also the H1 which is over 100 inches wide, but that's in a class of its own.

Those should certainly be fun to park in a tight spot 🙂

wel, the minimum for parking spots is 10' wide, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I think you mean for driving lanes.

I've been in many parking spots that were no more than a foot wider than my Integra..

I would like to live where the parking spaces are 10' wide 😛

but seriously, i would love to own that jeep grand cherokee, fatass and all.
(note : this doesn't mean i'm going to buy one)

I would take it, sell it, and buy a car that wouldn't inspire me to commit suicide.

I hardly had any issues parking the 2005 I had as a rental. You guys make it sound far worse than it really was. It's pretty nimble and handled well for it's size. I liked the size of it to be honest. It felt nice.

That's what helps it beat the 325i and Audi TT on the test track!!!!

Anyone else seen that stupid commercial?
