Variety reports that the third "Terminator" film has its script all ready and waiting to be filmed, and star Schwarzenegger eager to get going - thus a Spring or Summer start of shooting looks set to happen. Details are still being finalised but the film's initial budget estimate looks like it'll come in at $160 million - beating the $135 million record set by "Pearl Harbor" ("Titanic" wound up costing $200 million but initially it was only estimating a cost at just over half that).
Can you say "eye candy"? Mmm, mmm, good.
Plus . . .
The BBFC reports that the first LOTR film has scored a PG rating in the UK, won't undergo any edits, and also finally give us a proper running time - a lengthy 2hrs 58mins.
Can you say "intermission"?
Also there have been rumors that David Twohy has become attached to direct and write ALIEN VS PREDATOR. We've seen these pop up in a few places. It seems that my sources at Fox have told me that these rumors might very well be true. It seems that Fox and Davis Entertainment have approached David Twohy to completely rework the project for them. There has yet to be a deal worked out, but apparently Twohy is working up his take and the folks at Fox are anxious to hear that. So, we'll have to wait and see wait happens with that!
It sounds to good to be true . . . gosh I hope it's true.
