Holy Crap!!Our LOTR Midnight Showing!

<< I just got word that we sold out the main 500 seat auditorium as well as (2) 300 seat theaters!!

1100 people!!

No, it's the new Gateway. 🙂

Tomorrow will seem like THE longest day of my life!! 😀

I've been away from SLC for almost a year now, so I haven't heard of the Gateway. I'm flying in Wednesday night for the Holidays, though, so I'll have to check it out!

It's in the new Gateway shopping complex that is just to the south-west of the Delta Center.

<< LOTR sucks. Matrix 2 will own all. >>

Matrix2 will be good (most likely) but nothing will ever top the LOTR movies.

I'd imagine 95% of which will be 25-35 year old virgin male's who live with their mother's. The other 5% being females, lesbians of course.
If you don't fall into that category, good for you 🙂

I love a good movie as much as the next guy, but this is ridiculous.

Huh? Please explain your reasoning here...so 95% of the people who see LOTR on opening show are 25-35 year old virgin males? Explain this to me...please...

WTF...get out of your little dream world

And what's ridiculous about it?! One of the best books in history is being brought to film...people are excited...so what the hell is wrong?

You're just trying to start a flame war...

I'm off to see it tomorrow night.

Talking to a couple of friends that have seen it, they reckoned it was probably a better movie for people that weren't hugely into the LOTR series. They said a few 'inconsistencies' with the novels annoyed them.

Either way it should be a good night out

our local AMC is running LOTR on 3 screens at 12:01 - they have 6 theaters there that seat 500+, and I imagine they will use 3 of the larger screens, so we are looking at some 1500 seats at this single location.

🙂

rock on

- my brother thinks we should go dressed in Jedi robes - that would crack me up

Word Kami - best jest ta ignore da haytas! 😉

I'd be at a midnight screening if I could, and the fact I have 2 kids kinda means I'm not a virgin. Although you never know - the mailman has been looking pretty happy lately. 😉

Well, in my group of 6 guys, all but one of us fit the age category you specified. So, out of these 5 that fit the beginning of your criteria, 2 of us are married (no, not to each other you moron 😉). One is divorced. The other 2 may or may not be virgins, but they don't live with their mother.

So, at least in my group, only your age specification is even close to being truthful. My wife will be coming along as well. 🙂

haha...yeah and you might get the crap beat out of ya 🙂 don't forget your lightsaber...it'll be easier to identify who you are

Optimus..when are you going?

I assume you'll be going to Silvercity by Sportsworld? I have my tickets for Dec. 18 @ 10pm and Dec. 19 @ 8:15pm

I have The Lord Of The Rings book right here, I just bought it. I'm going to read it and find out if it's worth pissing myself everytime I hear anyone mention LTOR. You guys sound like your pissing your pants with excitment.

Pissing? more like spooging with excitement :Q 😉

Although you never know - the mailman has been looking pretty happy lately.

Don't forget about the paper man, the garbage man, & the two mormon guys who have been around every day for the last week.

Viper GTS

I only wish they would have got someone more Hobbit looking (Wizend face and Hairy feet) then that Elijah Wood kid, other then that the cast looks pretty good, the other creatures look great 😀

I'm gonna wait for a week or 2 for the Sheep to clear so I can get a good seat and less of a zoo, not like anyone can ruin the story for me 😉

Although you never know - the mailman has been looking pretty happy lately

It's Bob the mailmans last day on the job and since he has worked the same route for a few years all of the people on his route have been giving him little gifts as appreciation of a job well done. He gets to the Optimus house and Mrs. Optimus opens up the door and she is wearing a hot see thru robe and a nice Bustier garter belt combo underneath. She drags Bob into the house and proceeds to screw him silly. After the best sex session of his life is over, Mrs. Optimus goes upstairs and comes back down with a one dollar bill. Bob says, "What is the dollar for?" Mrs. Optimus explains, "Well, I was talking to my husband this week about it being you last day and I wanted to do something nice for you." She continued "My husband Optimus said, 'He's just the mailman, screw him!', the dollar was my idea."

😉
