I wonder if he gets back pay for all of that time?

It's sad that the North Koreans took his life away though.

Wacky!

What reason would anyone have to hold prisoners of war for over 50years (other than insanity)?

Last June, he reportedly swam across the North's river border into China, where he was arrested. After lengthy negotiations, China allowed him to fly to South Korea on Dec. 24

He must be a tough old boot.

The North Korean regime is truly insane. The people of NK are literally starving to death and yet a whopping 30% of their GDP goes to the military. That plus they haven't released POWs from the Korean War?! Someone needs to go over there and shove their boot up some dictator a$$. :|

Ah yes, the wokers paradise, lead by Juche principles....

these are the people Madeline Albright and the Democrats trust to uphold treaties and agreements about nuclear weapons...

i go to this site at least weekly to see what the "Party line" is in N. Korea....

makes for some surrealistic reading..highly recommended

News From KOREAN CENTRAL NEWS AGENCY of DPRK(Democratic People's Republic of Korea)

favorite phrases include:

"international terrorist Rumsfeld"
"Juche Principles"
"reactionary"
"U.S. imperialists "
"invincible Songun policy "
"revolutionary vigilance "
"bellicose"
"ever-victorious Songun revolutionary leadership"
"the prosperous socialist fatherland, the cradle of true life and happiness of the people"
"human scum such as hooligans, swindlers and idlers"
"brigandish"
"warm paternal love"
"The U.S. hardline conservatives had better stop running amuck. "
"rebuff, condemnation and self-destruction. "

you get the general idea...actually, i imagine from the language used, most of our more liberal liberals already visit the site regularly for guidance...
