HOLY CRAP! Furcal to the DOdgers?

Braves fans should be happy they didn't pay $13 million a year for a leadoff hitter who thinks he is a homerun hitter.

Furcal is good, especially in the 2nd half last season... without him I doubt we make the playoffs last season. We might go after Julio Lugo, and we can still sign Trevor Hoffman. I'm sure Scheurholtz will make some moves that'll put the Braves in position to win the NL East again. As for the $13 million that's crazy. Good for Furcal, Bad for the Dodgers. They overpaid for JD Drew last year (who came from the Braves), and are going to overpay for Furcal.

Nope. ESPN reports the Lo Duca trade for 2 prospects. Anyway this Furcal signing was HORRIBLE. He makes more than Tejada and about as much as Vlad. The guy steals bases and swings for the fences all the time ... wooo, yeah he sure deserves 13M. :disgust:

Braves just upgraded their shortstop.... out goes Furcal..in comes 2 time gold glover and superior hitter Edgar Renteria! Braves give the SaWx third base prospect Andy Marte in exchange (not sure if any money is involved).

Good move here by the Braves. Edgar is back in the familiar NL and he should be back in form. ...damn braves..
