HOLY CRAP! From one day to another, serious online gaming could be gone forever!

fvck! I'm sitting here, reading these stories about this tool that allows ppl to cheat heavily in gaming by "tweaking" their graphic cards (story: http://www.rivastation.com/index_e.htm) and this could seriously mean the end of good, normal online gaming as we know it! :| lamers everywhere will be using this crap to cheat and playing online will simply get ridiculous because EVERYONE will be firing like mad through walls in counter-strike and the like......almost the same madness we had with the "wall trick (with opengl)" we had some months ago....

DAMMIT!!!!!!!!! FVCK!!!!!!!!!!!! :|:|:|:|:|:|

no I'm not I'm just making everyone see the consequences of this. In a week, there will be these kinda tools out for every single graphics card out there and it'll be too late

Well, I don't see what the big deal is...that kind of crap has been around for years, or from personal experience months. I?ve received screen shots of guys being able to make all their textures white, and anyone running around looks like Bozo the clown with bright orange hair. Everyone stood out, it?s like a peace of sh*t on you dinner plate; I bet you?ll notice it.

Another cheat mod I saw a screen shot of was a wall cheat, if you have played CS then you know what I?m talking about. This sh*t really made me second-guess every good player, and thinking if they were cheating or not.

But ASUS seems to think this utility will do no harm, what they need to do is implement a random drug test policy. I think that would really help to bring back awareness at ASUS.

I have not played a single online games in months due to this fact. UT, CS nothing.

Well, I?m falling asleep typing this, so goodnight.

PS: %#$@%$#^&%#^& CHEATERS

This only makes the walls transparent, you cant shoot through the wall.

And yes this has been around for years, like with Quake, you could edit all your skins so they would be bright red and would be visable in the dark. You can still do this with Quake3 I think

Bag the FPS's and head to the real on-line gaming action -> sim racing. Nothing like racing head to head with "The Great Juan" (as in Montoya) in GPL, or Earnhardt Jr. in N3 ...

Unless you can shoot through walls which I don't think you can right?

Try playing CS, you wont think the same after.

Do you really think CS is going to be ruined by this? Man, I have had 20 cheats (literally) installed on my system for CS and they all suck. Spiked models, (yes, even spiked models that work with the new beta that's supposed to be "rid" of them) cheats to eliminate smoke from smoke grenades, brighten up player models, have lines on the ends of guns so you can see where they're aiming, cheats in maps that let you fly around the map, (such as assault and militia, and, again, YES, in the new 6.6beta) white-paks where all the texture's are white, so anywhere someone is standing they are visible against a white background - impossible to hide, and last but certainly most infamous, a headshot script. YES, it does exist, and YES it works.

I could be cheating out the wazoo in CS if I wanted to, and so could anyone else who has the will and means to find it, but it hasn't ruined the gaming so far. This won't either.

Let them have their cheats...i say that if they can see through walls...they'll most likely run into them

It might not kill online gaming as a whole but it sure can ruin your fun a few times when you keep getting shot in the head through a wall by a guy who is floating through the air. If that happens enough to people it tends to keep them away from it because it isn't fun being repeatedly fragged by cheaters.

You can thank the better server Admins for that, and not just the games ability to excite players. The better servers with the better Admins seem to handle the situation very well, banning anyone suspected of cheating. Setting this precedent tends to make cheaters stay away from the first class servers.

To be honest the only advantage I found while trying the Voodoo Doll was knowing when an enemy was coming around a corner before you could actually see him, or knowing where they were camping. This was the advantage I saw, and it sucks that you have to use a cheat program to get the jump on your opponent.

That?s basically what ASUS will bring to the gaming community the way I see it.

LMAO...😀 that would make anyone want to leave a game.

What Ausus has done is good. First they offer a way to cheat; then publicly discuss it; then decide not to publish the drivers.

From the latest news posted at rivastation.com, it is evidently up to the game designers to incorporate safeguards to prevent cheating. Now that everything is all out in the open, so to speak, they have the opportunity to do so.

So it looks like serious online gaming will survive and prosper.

the thing i hate about cheating the most is when someone accuses me of cheating because i get "too many frags" or whatever when im not doing anything but playing, that makes me mad at first, but then i laugh when he gets all frustrated because i do it again and he calls me a cheater again ;P

Allright, everyone is talking about CS.... I think of this in the perspective of Tribes.... Here I am a heavy D, and just look through the walls to know when the enemy is running down the hall.... Launch a Mortor before they knew what hit them....

Look through the walls and where the enemy has placed turrets, and if they have been destoyed by the gernades you just threw in...

And the list goes on....

This thing just destoys the whole spirit of the gaming community...

Kill_Phil:

I know exactly what you mean, I have a brother (KoRn) who gets accused of cheating all the time because he?s a good player. That?s what happens when you have these cheating scripts flying all over the net. Including them cheat sites (happy Puppy, planet cheat etc?though there are even worst ones then those).

One thing for sure is the cheat debate will go one forever.
