Yes, I realize this is repost * 8, but it deserves it!

I'm surprised at how similar it is functionality wise to IE. Although it seems to display most of the sites I look at a lot better. And damn ADblocker is nice :)

What are some other good plugins for FF?

It actually removes the ads from the pages. I like it a great deal. I personally don't really care for ad blockers which just blank out the AD, as the space is still gone from the page. FF's adblocker is really nice.

Does FF work okay with XP SP2? Do I need to uninstall, install, or change anything before installing firefox?

I use...

[*]targetalert (tells me the context of each link - pdf, img, link in new window..),
[*]mouse gestures (like maxthon, but better because it actually SHOWS you the gesture),
[*]bugmenot (skip registration sites),
[*]imagezoom (zoomin on any image simply with RIGHT CLICK and middle mouse to zoom in/out),
[*]smooth wheel (smooths scrolling on pages),
[*]adblock (you know what this is)
[*]disable targets for downloads (when I click a doc file, it won't open a new tab to download it).

I also used to be the biggest fanboi of Maxthon, but I've made the switch to FF. I would use Single Window, but it's not available in 1.0PR.

Random note. Firefox
pwnz: cos it allows you to last-minute-click on "Open Link in New Window" while the old window is about to open another URL.
sux0rs: cos it obscures the star rating in filmcritic.com.

We use Firefox at the computer lab that I help run. Residents don't even notice the difference between FF and IE.

Maybe I should try this. Everyone talks about it like it's gold. Virtual gold. That you can't spend

I prefer IE with the Google Toolbar and Admuncher (independent program). Faster and loads more pages correctly.
