Yes, I realize this is repost * 8, but it deserves it!

I'm surprised at how similar it is functionality wise to IE. Although it seems to display most of the sites I look at a lot better. And damn ADblocker is nice 🙂

What are some other good plugins for FF?

i keep hearing about ad block? is it just a pop-up blocker or does it block ad's? i was happy that my pop-ups are gone after using ff 8.0

It actually removes the ads from the pages. I like it a great deal. I personally don't really care for ad blockers which just blank out the AD, as the space is still gone from the page. FF's adblocker is really nice.

I tried firefox, but its sooo sLOWWwwww compared to IE, eventhough I liked the tabbed browsing and the mouse gestures

I use...

[*]targetalert (tells me the context of each link - pdf, img, link in new window..),
[*]mouse gestures (like maxthon, but better because it actually SHOWS you the gesture),
[*]bugmenot (skip registration sites),
[*]imagezoom (zoomin on any image simply with RIGHT CLICK and middle mouse to zoom in/out),
[*]smooth wheel (smooths scrolling on pages),
[*]adblock (you know what this is)
[*]disable targets for downloads (when I click a doc file, it won't open a new tab to download it).

I also used to be the biggest fanboi of Maxthon, but I've made the switch to FF. I would use Single Window, but it's not available in 1.0PR.

Random note. Firefox
pwnz: cos it allows you to last-minute-click on "Open Link in New Window" while the old window is about to open another URL.
sux0rs: cos it obscures the star rating in filmcritic.com.
