I never had to deal with Games for Windows before and even though I have a hotmail account it was a 25 min PITA setting and updating to play this game.

It's a lot of fun especially for the price. In later levels you get to fly bombers and bi-planes which reminds me of a very old game called Blue Max. What a hoot it is to do that all over again! I love how you can take control of a weapon and use it, very, very cool and unlike other tower defense games I've played. BTW, it doesn't really feel like a tower defense game since it has a more organic feel to it.

As mentioned some of the negatives for me is the texture detail blows for a PC game. There doesn't seem to be any taunts? That would have added some flavor to the game the way the old music does.

Made it through about 7 levels or so, and CTD to desktop as soon as the train boss appeared.... gah.

One huge tip for new players, which I didn't even know about til after I had nearly beaten all levels on the hardest difficulty - you can rotate your towers after they have been put down.

Before that, I was selling and putting down new towers (artillery) with a new field of fire. Just select an artillery, and rotate it like you would when you place one down. This makes boss fights much more manageable.

I really hope they add multiplayer. Can't understand why it's not in the game, as it was an integral part of the Live game. Especially being on Steam, I already have a few friends that would love to play MP.

After completing 10 missions I have to say that it has a slight Dungeon Defenders feel to it when you get the missions to place your own turrets and then hop into a plane or tank to add to the defence.

This game looks kinda interesting. Not much info on it as far as reviews go either.

It's neat so far. I've played a lot of missions. I'm not having nearly as much fun as the classic tower defense game though. The game doesn't give you enough time to figure out what the hell is going on with the terrain. Spend 4 minutes driving a tank to one side of the map only to find out that it can't travel up that tiny hill that you have to cross to take out an enemy bunker or something. The tanks also get stuck on walls and stuff that make no sense to get stuck on. There is also no easy indication to tell if a bunker is your own or an enemy while driving. Several times I got turned around and was blasting away at my own bunker with a tank. Camera control is a little odd.. wish it would zoom out a little further before going full zoom out. When your vehicle is destroyed it would be nice if the camera would auto-align back to a default north-facing position that way you aren't disoriented. I was hoping for something a bit more sandboxy. Just tried the invasion mode only to have the game crash when I clicked the button. Guessing that is a sandbox mode?

So far I'm disappointed. I've had more fun with free facebook tower defense games. Will try invasion mode again after I get home later and see if it changes my mind.
