HERE!

check it out...a 1.2ghz tbird w/3 year warranty, for only $120. You dont even need to buy a HSF from them...WOW. Their 3 yr price is cheaper than most places' 30 day warranties...coolness

the 1.0ghz is only 103 shipped, same 3 yr warranty.

They also carry MP chips, again, 3 years

btw (off topic), how is that company? have y'all had good or bad experiences?

I thought I remembered hearing bad things about these guys, but they have a 5.5 reseller rating with 250+ people rating them. Guess I'll have to order one of these. Been wanting to upgrade for a while anyway. Thanks for the info.

Just what I've been looking for! Thanks.

I'll probably be ordering from them soon.

Yep, I ordered a 1 GHZ P3 from them a while ago (for somebody else) and they did confirm in writing a 3 yr warranty on their OEM chip. Good service and they didn't charge me sales tax even though I live in the same state????

Are they providing the 3 yr warranty or is AMD doing it? If the latter, I didn't think AMD provides warranty for OEM cpus (but only for retail and tray versions).

Anyone know the stepping of these cpus? I was looking at buying the 1.33 ghz AYHJA at icompz.com for 142.95 listed on PriceWatch. Should I wait for the Palomino's instead?

Not sure. I have the paperwork @ home. Like I said, I ordered it for someone else so I didn't really get into details about the warranty but I am pretty sure I saved a copy since I charged it on my CC.

if you go to amd's website these guys are listed next to gateway, hp, etc. i've dealt with them and have been really happy. great customer service. i had a question but it was on a saturday when they were closed. the person i talked to friday said he would be in on saturday and gave me his extension, so i could call him if i had any questions over the weekend. they left a eide cable out of my order and shipped another one out 2nd day.

Anyone know when AMD will have the next round of price cuts? I'm in the market for a 1.2 or 1.33 GHz. Thanks.

Niice price, but I'm holding out for AMD's 32/64 combo chip. I figure if I'm gonna update this computer again might as well be with a 64 bit processor. Just hope I don't have to wait so long that my P3-933 is considered older than obsolete. :p

I placed a large order ($1,200+) from monarchcomputer and they did a good job.

The only problem I had was they didn't e-mail me the tracking number like their "e-mail reciept" said. I had to contact them about the tracking number and they emailed it to me. Some of the stuff I ordered was back ordered and I didn't find that out until my first package arrived. They said it would be shipped on a certain date. A few days later it came.

I think they need to provide the order information in more detail, otherwise, they did a good job.

Monarch computers is a pretty good store, but they do nail you on shipping. If you notice, they have that Athlon listed as 2 pounds shipping weight. NewEgg will deliver the chip to your door for $121, BUT of course they do not give you 3 years warranty.

I bought a couple of AMD 1.2 with Abit motherboards and I got the stuff before the email was sent, both of the chips were AXIA and over clodk pretty good. I would buy from them again but like was posted before there shipping on small items is not cheap but it is FedEx 2day saver.

115 for a 1.2 Ghz Socket A Tbird...

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, SOMEONE MAKE A HALF-DECENT DDR BOARD.

I'm set on sticking with my Slot A TBird until I can go whole hog on the DDR front.

Been waiting for a while,

CK

I wouldn't trust it if the store's offering the warranty, with online stores kicking the bucket all the time nowaday.
