Holy carp!!! I think this is crazy, fine tune a game yes, but this much effort?

Halo 3 testing/tuning effort. Kinda old for some but I just read it and it blows my mind to see a developer going so far to make sure a game is good.

Hopefully never or at least if it does, it should have it's own server. Using a keyboard/mouse is way too much of an advantage.

Also, you can really tell that the level of testing was extreme. Even the differences from the beta to the release were noticeable.

It's cool that they go through these steps to make the game something we want to play.
On the same note, I found out that one of my friends girlfriend, is a professional game tester. It doesn't pay squat, but she gets to sit on her fat ass and play games all day long.

People can say whatever they want, there is only one game I have played more than Halo3. H3 was well worth the money I spent on the game.

He didn't say put it in the "halo 3" forum. He's referring to the "console gaming" forum to which this article does pertain.

On another note, I haven't played an FPS since Perfect Dark on N64 but this article is sure getting me interested in Halo.

It's about a testing methodology that could probably be completely platform independent 😉

Can't comment on Halo 3, but the first one was soooo boring. Also, the multiplayer was terrible. Anybody who had played REAL FPS games before it would probably agree, Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, Half Life, and Tribes were all quite a bit better.

That said, by the time I tried it, (the PC version), It was like a year or two old, and it was a pretty terrible port.
Ahh well .... As other's have said ... this belongs in the console gaming forum .... It may be "platform independent" but console gaming forum is the closest one there is to that.
