I ported back on August 24th. Have contacted them via phone call and 2 chat sessions... the second ticket got submitted so we'll see...

I have to believe that it can't be that hard to fix... just adding a phone number to a database or something along those lines.

that is weird then. hopefully they can solve that for you, because that website access is definitely the best way to keep on eye on your account

so far im on good track! i am surprised how little data ive used, but then again i always am on wifi wherever i can be

Unless like the other 3 carriers, I've never NEEDED Tmobiles customer support.

Its like complaining about a car manufacturer that doesnt warranty his product but always makes them perfect, so it doesnt really matter too much.
Not only with no warranty but no spare parts or trained professionals to fix that either.

I have been with T-Mobile since 2000 while they were still voiceStream. You will face issues only if you have to talk to them or chat with them. Until recently I did not know that you could just go to Walmart or Target and upgrade your T-Mobile phone with a "renewed" contract and get better price than they offer over the phone support.

on my exhibit II, i get 4g>3g>E

of course, its in reality its- fast3g>3g>2g, but i like the way it shows on my phone... it makes more sense. the "E" to me means "EEEEKK! DONT TRY THE DATA!"
lol.... you think E is bad, when g comes up it goes from like 80Kb/s down to 6 or 12 kb/s or something ridiculous like that.

what phone again?

G means 500kbs or so, its just like sprint speeds i used to get. E is dialup for me....

i wonder why we would have opposite labeling....

Well I just officially switched to this T-Mobile plan. Got the Glalaxy Nexus (even nicer than I was expecting) and tested it it before I killed my Verizon plan. On Long Island where I live I am getting pretty good coverage in most places. Sure it's nothing like Verizon coverage but then again I am not bleeding from the wallet. Once it's all switched (waiting on number port right now) I will bring my wife over too, also with the Gnex. Yes...we will use more than 100 minutes each a month...but at .10 a min over that we are STILL way ahead of the game even if we go 200 minutes each. We average about 100-150 each a month so I call it ok. Going from $193/month Verizon to ~$96 (or less!) on T-Mobile (with no contract!) is fine by me.

welcome to the club!

dont be afraid to try groove ip over the 4g network. ive been using it, and its been better then expected so far. there is a noticeable delay, but its nothing that stops you from talking and the sound is great.

UPDATE

might have to stick with sprint :(

apparently, tmobile removed roaming on att towers. not sure if its just the monthly 4g plans or what, but i cant roam at all. as soon as i leave the city i get X no reception.

4g is totally awesome but its not that cool to only have phone reception in large cities. i cant even make a simple regular voice call.

so, i guess the search for the best plan still continues. i hear virgin mobile has a data-only plan....

Only on their hotspot devices. On a phone the limited voice/unlimited data is only 35 dollars a month.

well its either stick with my sprint sero plan and upgrade- but that would be $55 a month and sprint's 4g network.

tmobile also has a $55 a month plan that is almost exactly the same- 500 anytime min, night/weekends free, 4g data unlimited (no caps) and i can then roam on att towers for free (50mb of data only though, which is lame)

no texting with tmo as compared to sprint though. which is fine, i like google voice texts anyway

im still torn though, because sprint's 4g might be very good in a couple years. so if i leave this sero plan i might not be able to get these rates again....

well, i just chatted with tmo and apparently i AM supposed to get roaming. in fact, the areas i have problems with i am supposed to get tmo reception!

so i have issues. they said i will have to bring the phone to an area where im having issues and use a different phone to call tmo service center and they will try to get it to connect to whatever towers are out there.

wish me luck. hopefully this isnt because im running ics!
