It's not about winning more games overall. It's about winning everything during the season, Super Bowl included. Until the Patriots win the Super Bowl, and if, they are far from that 'elite' class.

The pats may not be the best team ever (i think the 85 bears would beat them, the pats have trouble with good defence) but they are in the top 5. no matter if they don't win the super bowl. if they do then they will be top 2 easy.

personally i don't think they are going to win it all. to many people know know that they can be beaten (each game seems to get closer and closer).

I can see you love your team, but try to be rational here. They are cheaters. Barry Bonds' cheating may not have helped the Giants win a World Series, but it doesn't matter. A cheat is a cheat. the pats were caught in teh 1st half of the 1st game. then they were watched closely every game after. the cheating did NOT help them this season. having a great players did.

A huge percentage of NFL players are cheats...they use steroids and HGH. That they do so is not even debatable. You cannot get as big as they are any other way. The NFL's drug testing program is a joke....players know it's coming long before it happens. Same with baseball and the NBA.

So to say that filming some defensive signals get the Pats an asterisk is simply laughable. Plus, I guarantee the Jets had someone watching the Pats' signals during that same game....just probably not as blatantly as having a dude on the sidelines with a camera. All the teams do it, the Pats simply are the ones that got caught. Big deal. They would have killed the Jets if I was calling the plays.

- Undeafeated means until the end of the road.
- Don't crown them the winner until they have won.
- Don't compare teams from different eras and say one would beat the other because it's entirely speculation. Everything is different and it's like apples and oranges.
