Nooooooo

lol maybe I should go to sleep 🙁

It's ok man, don't feel bad. I was just being a repost nazi 😛 But other than that I can't relly think of what to say about the story 😱

Wow, dejavu!

I knew a girl who lied to her parents about attending UC Berkeley. Actually, she lied to everyone about her status as a CAL student. Her parents were so proud of her that they bought her a new BMW, gave her $10,000 a year for housing, and told all their friends about how smart their daughter is. She lived near Berkeley, went to the classes she "enrolled in", and even studied with her classmates. Her lies were finally exposed when her younger sister called the school registar and found out that she never attended the school. I guess her sister was suspicious because the girl didn't ask her parents to attend her graduation, so her sister just thought she never graduated. Little did they know, she never even attended the school!

A kid got caught at rice this year, same deal. I think he was Indian. Asian parents put way too much pressure on their kids.

This guy was actually attending classes and taking tests, though, he never got an official grade.

Oh well, I guess you gotta let your kids know it's OK if something goes wrong for them.

I kinda knew this girl would be asian even before reading the story. Smart as hell to pull what she did....but at the same time lacking complete common sense to realize what she was doing to herself. So embarrassing and such a waste of time.

Am I the only one who doesn't think this is a big deal?

Those are some insecure students, right there. Chain on the window? C'mon.

Generation Me at its finest.

Holy asian parent pressure BATMAN...you forgot BATMAN...god!

Too many Kims in that article....wonder how many are in the dorms.

That's crazy! To be able to pull this off, you have to be pretty smart. Come to think of it, basically anyone can sit in on the larger classes at universities (I mean who takes attendance/verifies IDs in a big class?).

I wouldn't be surprised if there were people who sat in for years and received a free, unofficial education. Not a bad plan though if you're poor and crazy, but desire to be educated. 😀

oh yeah anyone could do that. In fact I know several people who have done it, some even telling the teacher. I am a member of the school but I was a part time student not paying for full time class time and asked a teacher if i could sit in on one of his classes I was interested in. sat in class all semester didn't pay a thing....of course no credit...but i learned stuff and didn't have to do homework.
