well it seems the next generation of 'holographic displays' are well under way. here it is check out the videos down the bottom, a bit sketchy but it sure looks real enough....
 
Heh, cool. All I can think of for the watch one: "Help me Obi Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope!"

Also, that interactive one gives a few ideas for 'interactive' holograms, heh, heh. (Not like that! You're sick!)
