Man, you people talk about small budget and going to Hollister... I go straight towards the clearance rack at AE or Kohl's. I can't afford this trendy crap. Although, I will buy Express jeans from time to time when they go on sale. Those boot cut jeans fit me oh so well and I've gotta move away from my baggy jean, huge leg JNCO days...

Hollister is a town in central California. There are exactly two things that people go to Hollister to do:

1) Skydiving. They have a small airport with a skydiving school.
2) Off-roading. Hollister hills has a State Vehicular Recreation Area with lots of trails for off-road trucks and dirt bikes.

Other than that, hollister is pretty much farmland.

ther's also Hollister Ranch up by Santa Barbara. It's a legendary surf spot where you had to know someone to get to the waves. Now it looks like a place where rich people can buy property.

I think the clothing company is trying to tie itself to this "exclusive beach" type image.

The Hollister in my nearby mall has a surfing theme 😕

I think hollister has awesome clothes, and if I can get a t-shirt that fits perfect and doesn't cost $40 (abercrombie) then I'm happy.
98% of you bastards are ugly and/or fat with no social life, so I don't care what you think about style.

There's also a turn off to get to Hollister in between Hollister and Gilroy that has like 400 car accidents a year.

That's true. I actually used to know a guy who's friend owned property there, so I was able to go down and surf there once. It is really exclusive though, and most people who aren't surfers don't even know about it. I don't know if that lends itself well to marketing...

haha I love how Hollister is "budget, low-end" stuff. I buy my clothes from, in order: Old Navy, Wal-Mart, AE, Aero, and the Salvation Army. I only buy Old Navy/AE/Aero stuff when it's on clearance. Now that's budget 🙂 I've gone in Hollister like twice with my gf and it's all like $50 for a pair of jeans! I don't spend more than $20 on any article of clothing unless it's running-related.
