Holiday Hardware Help!

Hello and merry christmas,

Today i recieved among some other stuff a Nvidia 6600GT and a new viewsonic monitor. I installed the drivers for the monitor, then removed my old video cards drivers and ran driver cleaner. I proceded to turn off my computer, remove my gf4ti4200, install the new video card, and boot back up. Everything worked fine with windows default VGA display drivers. However, after downloading and installing the newest drivers from nvidia, when i restart my computer it would fail to boot up. I tried both using the drivers from the website along with the ones that came on the CD with my card. Also, i tried switching to using my old monitor, but windows would still not boot. Upon booting the second time i was asked if i wanted to use the last known good windows configuration, and when i boot to that (without the nvidia drivers) everything works fine. I'm pretty desperate now, any help would be most appreciated.
