I voted for Carolina, not sure why. I'd like to see Ronnie Francis get another ring, couldn't go to a nicer guy.

I think the Avs and Wings are going to beat the snot out of each other, and the Avs especially are carrying a lot of old farts around that might not make it. The Avs have played 2 game 7s already, and if they drag the Wings out to a game 7 and win, I think Carolina will have the legs to take them in the final.

The Avs will definitely win at least 1 of the first 2 in Detroit, as the Wings will take a little time to get their game legs back. Roy can keep the Avs in most of the games, despite how much talent the Wings have. I'm not sure about Hasek. Every time I think he's done, he's not. Most will think the winner of that series will have a cake walk in the finals, but I think the winner will be so beat up and worn out that Carolina will take them (mostly because they should be able to walk all over the Leafs).

So, Carolina is both a personal preferrence and a gut feeling. Then again, that's why they play the games.
 
I'm a hockey fan, but I'm not voting. This poll would have been far more interesting a month ago. Then we'd see who really knows their stuff.
 
Ahh.. Hockey.. the only sport that does what it can to reduce scoring... especially in the post season where more people might be watching. That way, they don't accidentally pick up new fans.

So much clutching / grabbing / goon play, and it is getting worse and worse. League scoring has been getting lower each year.

Players have no room to skate which makes hockey boring to watch... at least when compared to hockey say 9-10 years ago.
 
I voted for Detroit, but I want The Hurricanes to win.

Detroit has too much depth, a great goaltender, and the NHLs best coach.

Nah, we'd have seen who could have guessed correctly. Knowing the game and making predictions are completely different. 😛

I think and hope that Detroit wins. Go Wings!
