Since the NHL is not playing this season, are any hockey fans getting their hockey fix from the AHL? I've been a season ticket holder for the past 4 years, and it's great being able to go to 40+ games a year.

So how are you guys getting your hockey fix?

BTW...Manchester is off to a red hot start...

Including tonights game...

5-0-0, 27GF, 8GA 189PIMS

3-0-0 At home

2-0-0 On the road..

We have yet to score less than 5 goals in a game..and each of our goalies has a shutout already...


Man I hope they keep this up...;)

Saw a game on the MSG channel about a week ago between the Hartford Wolf Pack and the Philadelphia Phantoms. Was a good game, and MSG had to run something with no Rangers games to show. It was cool to see some of the AHL guys. Hope they'll get some breaks and get into the big leagues, if the NHL ever gets it's act together. At this point the NHL should just disband and start over. Sad.

Hartford is our rival..and they are right with us..they are also 5-0-0 with a 3-1 win tonight.. They knocked us out of the Calder Cup playoffs a couple years back...

Nope, I haven't been paying attention to any hockey. Probably because I don't know of any localish teams.

I had the Admirals staying at my hotel one night last year because they had a couple games in Manchester with the Monarchs. I had to go up there several times because apparently they thought it was ok to have relay races in the hallways, in their underwear, @ 3am....

Yeah...that was greeeat.. :|:|

Oh, and LMAO @ Norfvck. ;)

Love watching hockey and playing it.

Living in Albany, NY I have had to struggle to see the River Rats (Devils farm system) even come close to 30 wins/season since they won the Calder cup back in 1995. Even though I am a die hard Red Wings fan I cannot agree with what they (NHLPA) has done here.

So, go Rats.

Brand new arena for them downtown.

Hey! The next home game for the Monarchs we play the River Rats. They have always been a tough team to play against..we shall see if they can give us our first loss.

I 100% agree on the NHLPA....I almost died when some player was going on about how if the league had their way, they wouldn't be able to "make a living".

Yeah...poor guys... It's just unfair if they can't get million and millions for 10 goals a year... :frown:

Sweet! Yeah, the Monarch were brought into town 4 years ago, and being associated with the LA Kings has made for a up tempo team that plays the Western Conference style. Although I feel bad for players when they are called up/ sent down...NH to LA and vice versa is a looooooong flight.

We play in the beautiful new Verizon Wireless Arena. I love it, and it's only about a 10 minute drive from my house. Been sitting in the same section, with the same people for the last 4 years. :)

Also, it just goes to show how hockey nuts we are up here in the NE...we have led the league in attendance 4 years running....by a LARGE margin.
