What is the point of designing 'stealth' ships again? It's not like they're zipping in at the speed of sound, dropping a bomb on a target 30,000 feet below, and getting the hell out of dodge.

They're...boats. Generally operating in coastal waters.

The UK is also building 2 supercarriers (65000 ton displacement)

The French have 1 iirc. And it's nuclear.
Russia doesn't have a real aircraft carrier.

Pretty outdated. The UK only has one aircraft carrier still in service, the Illustrious, and it doesn't even carry aircraft anymore and will be retired in 2014. And the US only has 10 aircraft carriers still in service - all the little ones on the left side are retired, and two of the larger ones are out as well (they've probably included the Enterprise and the John F. Kennedy).

The US spends 20+ fold that amount and doesn't conquer anything or otherwise benefit from it.
