All of 'em sucked...

Seems like all the good ones have been the evens 😛

I just watched The Final Frontier the other night and it wasn't as bad as I remembered. I won't say that all the odds suck but I'll say that the worst of the evens is better than the best of the odds.

I've almost totally blocked out Generations -- I seem to remember Kirk dying in a rockslide or some such thing.

I also never saw Insurrection (or had wisdom teeth, for that matter), so in this thread, I'm looking pretty hateable. 😉

4 is not that good. Watch it again. The terrible acting (particularly Catherine Hicks) just ruins the movie. Even Scotty flubs it - "Admiral, there be whales here!"

2 was incredible. Far and away the best.

1 would have been good, except for being somewhat slow and boring, with wooden acting and a theme that was inconsistent with the original series.

3 was okay.

5 was the worst, 'nuff said. Not only did the entire movie suck, but the ending with the searching-for-God-but-finding-the-devil plot twist was like something dreamt up by the ATOT kiddie wannabe atheist crowd.

6 was 2nd best. A well-done movie in its own right.

Of the TNG movies, Generations was good, First Contact was the best of the TNG's but they screwed up the Zefram Cochrane character horribly (re-written and entirely different than the character from the TOS episode "Metamorphosis"), Insurrection sucked, and Nemesis was somewhat decent but a disappointment.

I got em all too! And most of TOS on VHS (shortly to be on DVD) as well as the first three seasons of TNG..

I actually think that resulted from a thread in which I denounced rap.

Agree except on Insurrection. I thought First Contact was good and I made all my friends and family watch it. It was so moody and dark and the musical score was totally amazing. But I thought Insurrection was at least as good...far more plot and a couple twists and not the same old "Borg taking over" story. I also liked the sub plot about aging and immortality as well as the crew going renegade against Star Fleet to do what they know is right...all in all, just way more depth and substance and complexity.
