What difference does it make what color the attackers are? They broke in, they beat the homeowner's stepson to where he has brain damage, the homeowner shot them. You can't go back and second-guess someone in that kind of situation, legimately, from the safety of your computer desk or a court room.

Only mistake I see the homeowner made was missing the 3rd attacker.

I don't think anyone here is disputing the homeowner's right to shoot them (well, the NAACP, but they don't post on ATOT). The issue is whether the third attacker should get charged with murder.

It's pretty clear in this matter that the law allows for him to be charged with burglary, B&E, assault, AND felony murder. While the prosecution isn't seeking the death penalty in this case, they could very well for that list of crimes.
