I keep telling my financee I'm taking her to the Motel 6 for our honeymoon.

As if we'd do much outside the hotel on our honeymoon anyway. :p

My brother went to Hawaii, then to San Francisco... they had lots of fun... apparently there's lots and lots of sights to see in Hawaii... he got me a shirt from Alcatraz too while in Cali... says "Alcatraz Psycho Ward - Outpatient" =)

more info on Ambergris Caye

It is an AWEsome place to go and very cheap on you are there. The natives all speak English, beer is CHEAP, you don't need a visa and it is only a 2.5 hour flight from Houstan and/or Miami.

Some great ideas, thanks a ton. I'll start looking through the links and such you listed after I get back from a support call and before the show tonight.

Although I don't see why I don't just go to Jersey ;)

I'd toyed with France, but it was never really something I'd thought much of. I've never been to Europe and my fiance has. Suppose I could go and mend the ties between our countries. Oh yes.... it shall be a political onslaught of massive proportions the world has never seen. They shall put me on a pedestal... chant my name in the streets... offer me a free continental breakfast... It's BRILLIANT!

eh, the Big Island of Hawaii is better than Kauai IMO. Of course that was the first island we went to, so I think my wife and I are a bit biased. We went back to Hawaii this year and went to the BI and then to Kauai. If you like roosters (and all the damn racket they make all hours of the day), you'll love Kauai. Ask anyone who's been there. If you do decide to Kauai, take a helicopter tour, well worth the money. Also the books "The Big Island Revealed" and "Ultimate Kauai" by Wizard Publications are great travel guides.
When we were on the BI in Feb, we got to see flowing lava and I got to stick a stick in it. Awesome-ist thing evar!

It all depends on what you want out of your vacation. If you want quiet, peace and solitude, go Kuaui. If you want nightlife, alcohol, busy beaches and skyscapers, then visit the main island. They both have different things to offer, which makes Hawaii a cool place to visit.

I didn't say "Main Island". That would be Oahu. The "Big Island" has no skyscrapers. Hilo I believe is their biggest city, and it's not much to write about. I love Kailua-Kona, it's where I would retire. Actually, just south of it, near the town of Captain Cook. Anyways, the Big Island is more "civilized" (and I mean civilized in that it's more developed but not overdeveloped) than Kauai, and there's more to do. The beaches are better though on Kauai because it's an older island == better sand. The Big Island has an active volcano though, but Kauai has the Napali Coast. Aw heck, just get to one island and buy a bunch of inter-island tickets on Hawaiian Air and go to all of them.
