Will be around the 1st of August for a week I guess.

Thinking maybe Hawaii... Mexico...

Would go to New York but I'd imagine it's rather hot n' humid that time o' year.


Any opinions? Deals? Know anybody who needs a condo-sitter? 😉
 
I've been to Oahu and have been drooling over the Kahala Mandarin Oriental but that's just a tad outta my price range methinks.

Not sure about the other islands.

Been looking at different possible flight/hotel/car combos for the past few hours and it's always nice to hear some different opinions. Thanks
 
It's not hot and humid in Mexico and Hawaii in August? Who knew?

I would choose either over New York, too.
 
Dude, skip Maui. If you want to go there just save the extra money and go to Miami. Kauai is the island for a honeymoon if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. There are no skyscrapers. It is not really industrialized. I was there for a week and didnt have time to do all we planned. Stayed here.
You can get the beaches to yourself, amazing waterfalls and trails. Hike the Napali Coast and then hike in to the wettest part of the world and see the most amazing waterfall. I have pictures but web site is down. If you want clubs and packed beaches and all, go to Maui, if you want seclusion and pure beauty, Kauai. I will even mail you a book i used that showed places to go that not many people know of there. It was real helpful on getting around. And the Macadamia Nut cookies rule.

But Sammy's island sounds like a damn good time. Anything with tequilla owns.
 
Yes, NYC can be hot and stinky that time of year. Go to Paris, that's what we did (around the same time of year).

How about taking a honeymoon where you can do as much or as little as you want!! Eat as much as you want!! Visit exotic destinations...not be stuck in one place!! If this sounds like what you want....then take a CRUISE. Take your new bride on a lovely 7 day cruise. I highly recommend them...D@mn, I'm sounding like a travel agent.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The island is beautiful, clean, and not like your average tourist trap. I highly recommend this island if you are going to Hawaii.
 
My choices (in order)

1. Paris, France
2. Venice & Rome, Italy
3. Hawaii island(s)
4. Key West + Miami

Gotta go to europe for honeymoon if possible. Be the most romantic thing ever 🙂
I like lots of beaches too, so hawaii & keys area are nice as well.

Vegas, baby! I got married in Vegas, although it was in the wintertime. I imagine Vegas is a hellhole right now. 🙁
