And I have to say I wasn't impressed with the speed. I think my dad's 89' Taurus SHO is much faster. Do you think it's possible that the Taurus is faster than the Camaro? I mean, the Taurus is a 5-speed 3.0L and the Camaro is a 6-speed 5.7L, I believe but I felt that the SHO just flys and the Camaro felt like a boat. I dunno, that's my fun for the day.

My brother and dad both drove it. My dad baby's cars so he didn't open it up but my brother did and he's pretty good at a stick. I just wasn't impressed with that Camaro as I was with my dad's SHO. We almost lost control on the highway once when we were going 130 that's how light that SHO is.
No, that's how crappy it is. When I had my 2000 Civic Si way back when, I could go 140 without coming close to losing control, and it was much lighter than the SHO. It had a much better suspension set up however.
I have a 1991 3.0L Sable . .
And it couldn't outrun an old beetle with a camero body kit. At least not in a quarter mile.
The thing about my Sable is this: shoddy acceleration, but I have not yet discovered a 'top speed' for it, and it is hard to do so because the speed-o-meter only goes to 85mph . .
I believe I have hit 100 before, but thats more an estimate than anything else.
This setup is in stark contrast to my buddies 1996 Saturn wagon, in which the speedometer goes all the way to 120mph, but the fastest it has ever gone was 85, and that was on a downhill stretch of highway . . so its top speed is 80 . .
but, it accelerates much better than my Sable does.

Well, when I'm at the raceway and I see a 93' or above Camaro race against whatever car, nine times out of ten the Camaro loses. The SS's don't impress me at all. Now when I see a 93' or lower Camaro, it usually takes the cake. Ironic.
Well 9 times out of 10 the driver either sucks or must be racing against a even faster car. Those LT1 and LS1 camaros are fast cars.
