Basically, I traded him my PS2 + 5 games for his XBox + 1 game and DVD remote. 2 hours later, he emails me and says he wants to trade back.

I made it clear that there is no back cover on the HD for the PS2 and that the system still runs perfect. He claims the disk drive sticks, yet I've never had a problem. I gave up 5 games to make up for that cover and the extra controller he gave me. Now he wants to trade back? Nothing was in writing, it was just verbal agreement.

I'm thinking tough shiet, how do I know he just didn't break it and wanted it back?

What do I do? Any advice would be appreciated.

**EDIT**
I should clarify also that this trade was made in person through craigslist. Also, I went to his house and we both tested out the systems before exchange was made.

**EDIT**
I was thinking, the guy contaced me through email. Should I even contact him back since the deal is a done deal?

Nothing in writing == tough luck for him legally. If you KNOW it was working when shipped and no warranty was implied (verbal) by you then he is out of luck snd you should have no moral qualms about keeping the XBOX.

Tell him to eat a *censored*. He's not your friend, you have no obligation to go back on the deal. You got what you wanted and so did he, so both of you keep what you have unless it is mutually unsatisfactory.

Tell him you are too busy playing on your friggin' sweet Xbox. You don't have time to meet him and exchange for a $hitty PS2. :)

Thanks for all the replies. I'm happy with what I got, so it's his own problem now. I'll tell him to try to sell the PS2.

Not true...verbal "contracts" can still be binding in this situation...

Basically, we said thanks and I just left. Nothing about warranties or such. He was happy and I was happy when I left the house, so it's all good.

Hopefully he isn't some wacko who finds out where you live and then comes for your throat (and the Xbox).

Be a nice guy and trades back (after you make sure everything is working). It is only 2 hrs after all.

Wouldn't be the first time that's happened.
