Where do all the locked threads go? Do they just keep droppping and collect at the bottom of all the threads like a bigass ocean of locked threads? Maybe they get erased? If so, why not just erase them from the beginning and PM the user who made the thread?

They aren't deleted right away to make an example out of the poster:) I wonder if they end up in the archives with the rest of the old posts?

It'd be fun if they were transferred into a special category. "Stupid stuff that should not have been posted". Would need to be shorter though, "Bad Ideas" maybe.

They just slowly fall and eventually fall off of the current posts list and go to never never land, or someplace.:)

There's reacurring ones, such as the "I just reached [insert member status]" ones that continue to haunt us everyday. :(

The locked threads are encrypted using 512 bit technology, burned to CDs and permanently deleted from forum hard drives. Then the CDs are moved once a week to the MIR space station by the Space Shuttle. Unfortunately, MIR space station will return to Earth on March 22nd, so we can expect some heavy rain of locked threads on that date.
