Hmm. Ipod=overpriced?

Well considering a whole bunch of us got brand new iPods for refurbed prices of $169 I disagree. The iPod is smaller, sleeker and just damn cool.
 
ill take a zen please. more space for teh price. better sound quality and its made to work with windows. ive killed 3 ipods and 2HDs cause they donmt like windows
 
PowerMac4ever, how is the zen crap? It has better QUALITY then the iPOD. Please tell me. Wait, it's a Mac User that overpaid for a product(O the Irony)

The Zen is bigger, heavier, and has a crappy interface. I know of no quality differences between the two devices.

Both music players hold plenty of songs, the iPod gets knocked around in the reviews because it was the first and is the best.

The Zen is bigger, heavier, and has a crappy interface. I know of no quality differences between the two devices.

Both music players hold plenty of songs, the iPod gets knocked around in the reviews because it was the first and is the best.

its not the best its sound quality is crap compaired to the zen. if you cant tell that you have bad ears. its fragil as hell. while teh zen can take a beating. the ipods menu structure is confusing as hell. and it eats PCs for lunch (read my other post). the Zen maby be a lil bigger but if you hold teh 2 side by side its not that big of a deal + its 100$ cheaper for the same amount of space, has an FM tuner also

The Zen is a hackjob compared to the iPod. My ears are excellent by the way.

Edit: Oh, by the way... sweet grammar. Yeah, I saw it before you edited it.. and there are still mistakes!

xtra for the blue screen. ive used the ipod and zen back to back many times... zen does sound better. sorry. its also survived alot of banging and works fine. the battery life is alot better (used it extensively from austin -> albuquerque drive on one charge). the battery is replacable. there are alot more functions... i dont think you can see details of a file (bitrate, album, length, etc) a song while playing. the equalizer is better if youre inclined to using one. best thing is, i can leave it in my pants w/o fear of scratching, and operate it. i use it while riding a bike. with the ipod you'd have to take it out (try operating the super sensitive buttosn and dial through your pants/shirt).

anyways i think its a big waste of money
 
From the looks of the pic below, it's not like one would be comparing legos to bricks... more like apples to oranges. Although... that pic has the older ipod, so there is a bit more of a size diffrence, but even so, for the price you would pay for a Zen, it seems like it's the better value.

I may get the NX. IF the xtra is 100.00 more just for a little bigger screen and blue, it's not worth it to me. Green>BLUE IMO.

personally i hate HD players, for my purposes flash is the way to go. but please tell me why the IPOD would be knocked around because it was the best? it seems pretty obvious that it's being knocked around because it's lacking in some of its features. get over it.
