I had no idea.

And before you make fun of me for the link, a friend sent it to me, honest. :)

EDIT-and to everyone telling me to "get over it" or "deal with it," stop making assumptions. I'm just fine with it, I just thought it was an interesting bit of random information. RELAX.

< satire > That's it! I've had it! I'll never listen to Tchaikovsky again. His music is obviously just been made worthless. < /satire >

Wasn't Bach gay as well?

In the end though who really cares? Elton John is gay. His music still kicks ass. No difference.

A) I don't know anything about Tchaikovsky's sexual preferences, but given the "evidence" they use for Paul the apostle and some of the others, I wouldn't put much trust in this website as a source.

B) Why don't they have Alan Turing? Was his work in WWII not heroic enough?

On the contrary, Bach had 20 children.

It doesn't matter to me, I just found it kind of interesting.

No, it's true, I looked up a more reliable source out of curiosity (an actual book! gasp!), and it confirmed this. Shrug, as I said, of course it doesn't really make any difference, just kind of an interesting tidbit I thought.

Yes, Tchaikovsky struggled with his sexual identity all of his life. He was more than likely a homosexual. So were a lot of the more modern composers. Benjamin Britten for example. Deal with it.

er... that site is the most f-ed up site, sorry. it doesnt prove anything. in fact, i'm more inclined to beleive the opposite based on that site.

just cause someone isnt interested in women doesnt make them interested in men.

jeez...

Walleye, learn to read please. I already told you it's been confirmed by more reliable sources, including Harold Schoneberg's "The Lives of the Great Composers", and others.

Um...why is everybody assuming that I think this was a negative thing? I don't care if he was gay, I just thought it was interesting, something I hadn't ever heard before. Sheesh, you guys are quick to assume. Think about it for a second, you can't possibly think that someone as involved in the fine arts as myself is a homophobe.
