Shoot, I considered myself a bit of a computer geek when I was in high school. Even did some computer work after leaving school while in college. All it takes is being nice and considerate, just talk to girls like people, show an interest in them, etc. It isn't hard, you'd think people with that many brains could figure it out. 🙂

Or maybe it takes a lack of brains, I don't know...

Truthfully, I made the mistake of having sex when I was younger, just for the sake of having sex. Sure, it is fun for 15 minutes (err, how about 45 minutes, yea that sounds better), but after that, what is the point?

Speaking from more recent experience, when you're in love, that great feeling stays with you long after the night is over...

Now that I think about it, some computer guys don't take great care of themselves, do they. A shower once a day is the least I can stand, sometimes I need two a day. I like to be squeeky clean! 🙂

My experience.... Jack likes her and wants her. She is interested in the bait, but hasn't fallen for it yet.

My recommendation: get her a DELL!!! 😀 she will be so amazed by the pure performace of the system, and free dvd upgrade or cd burner, she will forget about "jack" 😉

Well, my question is, do you trust her? I think we already know the answer, or you would not have made this thread. However, she doesn't know, at least not yet. Don't ruin it, by asking a questiion she can't answer to your liking. You need to do some digging away from her. Talk to her roomie, alone if you can. I'm sure at least one of her high school friends went to the same college, talk with them. Making a big issue over this could play right into Jack's hands.
 
Well, I can't say if she has been fooling around or not, but it's already a given that he's hanging out with her so much because he's got a little crush. I've been in Jack's position and I'm sure tons of you have too...

I was in both your shoes and "Jack's" shoes at one time or another...and all I can say is...tread lightly.
Accusing her of cheating is a SURE-FIRE way of driving her away (and probably into his shorts).
I've both been the winner (comforting the girl) and the loser (accusing the girl) after such a confrontation.

Good way to play it: Be civil, but not overly friendly.
The in-jokes...VERY bad sign. Let her know it makes you feel distant from her.
If she isn't interested AT ALL in spending time with you (and ONLY you) when you two see each other...assume that the train has already left the station.
Also realize that she may already too far gone with this dude, and be prepared to cut your losses, if you don't wanna get played BADLY.

But if she isn't too far gone, I'll tell you the fastest way to snap her back to reality...
Get yourself a female "buddy" much like "Jack" is to her.

GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY...but the sex is OUTTASIGHT when your gf/wife/whatever is out to rub it in some real (or imagined) competition's face. 😀

BTW: The situation in college where I was "Jack" ended badly.
She went back to her boyfriend, after having sex with both of us, on and off, for a good six months.
She was roommates with my roommate's gf, which made certain things awkward.

She actually found me via the Internet about 6 months ago and wanted to meet...until she found out I was married 😛.
Her situation?
Married (not to her bf from back then) for 7 years...now divorced (about a year)...and in a relationship with someone at work (wonderful idea there).
I count myself VERY fortunate.

Of course, Mrs. Tallgeese still wanted to stomp her @ss, because, as always....

if I were you, I would not even confront her, just play dumb, and show her a good time when she is with you. If she is the right one, she will stay faithful, if not, its probably not a big lost anyway.

Good luck, I know what it's like from your end, not Jack's. It definitely sounds messed up, especially if he is broadcasting that as his away message. You should get to the bottom of this ASAP, it'll save you a lot of grief down the road.
 
**FINAL UPDATE**
I just got back. In two short words; Happy Ending. My gut feeling was right. There's nothing going on between the two. When I saw her, she was so happy to see me with unusual kisses thrown at my face. 😉 Of course, I didn't like it at the time because my mind was filled with assumptions and bad thoughts.
We ended up going to her mom's swing dance practice and I was waiting for the right moment to bring the issue. I sort of opened the conversation by asking her what's really important in a relationship.

"Openness of course. And honesty" She answered with a smile after a moment of thinking. I took this opportunity to bring up my true feelings. She continued, "I truly believe in honesty and if there's something that needs to be said, then it should be done." I studied her face very carefully as she said this.. Some moments went by, I finally brought it up, "I agree. And I have something to ask you." She looked at me jokingly because she thought I was gonna say something sweet but realized otherwise when she saw my serious face.
"Do you have feelings for anyone?"

She plainly said No. Then we went to series of serious convo about this. She was bit insulted at first but appreciated my honesty.. after I sealed and ended the conversation with the following, "Don't be insulted. Honesty is what we truly value in our relationship and I had to get it out of me. And I expect you to do the same if you ever feel insecure about me and someone else."

Rest of the night we spent watching Bourne Identitiy on her lappy and many kisses. 😉

final words for my fellow ATOTers
I was and still am bit startled by how you guys took this so negatively and assumed the worst. Not one of you said, "I'm sure it's all fine." Sure it's always safe to assume the worst but some of you need to get your attitude checked about dating. Not all girls/guys sleep around and fvck around... This isn't the movie Road Trip. And my GF is definitely a keeper 😀
