I found this site yesterday that fills you in on a lot of the background clues that are easy to miss in the HL games. Apparantly head crabs are just wildlife on the Vortigaunt's home planet. So that's not any more far out than you BBQing a rabbit and eating it.

doom 3 sucked bigtime.

half life2, while not the BEST game ever, is an awesome game.

Far Cry, while good, was imo too hard. I have enough to challenge myself in life right now (work, school, etc) that I kind of want to look at pretty graphics and blow stuff away.

I agree about HL2 not being a life changing epic. Deus Ex and Half Life 1 were both much better games. I like it about the same as Doom 3, both i won and have not touched since. The game that i play is World of Warcraft. WoW has the replayability that the others lack.

I rather not spend hours on end clicking frantically while wasting my life away.

Thanks for the support. I didn't think there was that big of a Pepsi > Coke thing going on with a video game. Guess I was wrong there.

YES, I've done that.

After I'd beaten the game, I started setting up fights....like 20 combine soldiers against 10 vortigons. They're pretty tough...and all the vortigons you spawn say the same things that that particular one does.

Cool, finally, a straight answer.

I have beaten the game as well, but am going back through it looking for things like this.

Yeah, I know. But I saved it just prior to entering so I could revert back to my 100/100. The tunnel was long and filled with toxic water, but my curiousity got the best of me.

I beat HL2 and think it was incredibly lame. Graphics = good, gameplay = good, no story = bad.

On side note, hated Doom 3, and finally got around to playing Halo 2, which I also don't like.

Believe me too, I'd be one of the first to stand and defend these games, but with recent game releases I've got myself asking...
