HL2 Problem

Anyways, I am to the point in the game when I first got into the huge building after Dog let me in. You have all those pods going along a track, and you get in one of them, and it takes you along for a little ride. At the end of the ride, you fall down, and a new level loads. Well, I am stuck at that loading screen. It just sits there saying Loading.

*cries* I am almost done, I want to finish!!

Any ideas? Anyone know the cheat code to get to the level that I need loaded next? Maybe if I try loading it manuallyfrom the main menu it might work.

hhmm i don't remember riding on a pod? didn't the level end with you teleporting out with alyx?

This is taken during the ride. THe pod is what you see hanging on the walls. You see two rows of pods moving, you get in one side and you get zapped, get in the other side and it takes you on a ride. At the end of the ride, you fall out to the floor, and a new level loads.

If I use a cheat to get to the next level, will that take away something cool at the end of the game? Someone else mentioned not to cheat, but didn't say why.

go to your last save point. do the cl_showfps 1 in the console. At the top it'll show your fps and the map name. It'll be something like darkenergy_something_04 or something like that. Just type:

map darkenergy_something_05

to go to the next one.

And the game wont think I cheated and not show me a proper ending because of that?

when U drop down all weapons are stripped and U end up with a zero point gravity gun .... if U go the next level U might not get that weapon and as far a I know U cannot finish the game without it

Well, any ideas as to why the game is freezing here? Everything has worked fine up till now

I don't know how long. It sat there a while, and I got bored and went downstairs for a pop, came back up and it still said loading. Alt-tabbed out and looked at task manager, and it said HL2 wasn't responding. Figured it was just a fluke, tried it again, and it did the exact same thing.
