I had some weirdness with it too... Hearing sounds and stuff. The sounds were real I just attributed them to the game for some reason.

holy crap that was a great level. i dont get why so many ppl complain about motion sickness and the POV of the game. if it helps you any, go to the console while in game and type 'viewmodel_fov #'
the default is 54. try tweaking that number.

I played in windowed widescreen mode...

and yeah I loved the boat level too. Ripping along under the overpasses, bullet spray all around, rockets all over the place 🙂

Don't as me how I did it, but close to the end where you have to go up that ramp and through that hole in the rock wall I managed to do a full backflip and land rightside up again.

sweet. there's no way to flip the boat upside down since you dont have the grav gun at that point

Great game...

I've played through it like 4 times now on two different systems, and it's cool some of the stuff you notice as you go through it more times. I've seen the Gman twice during the game now, and I never noticed him before.

I found a few other things I missed the first few times through. A lot of people who complain of motion sickness in HL2 seem to be bothered by the boat section, and less so the buggy section.

I went up the ramp, jumped into the air and then came down right on the bottom lip of the hole in the wall. The screen went all funny for a sec, then I saw the sky, then the hole behind me, then the water, then in front of me as I bobbed up and down in a big splash. I know I did the flip in the boat, but the physics just don't really make much sense. Still happened though and I wish I had a demo or something.

there are so many things to pick up by not running through the game. the gman sightin in anticitizen one is great
