The only thing I can think of that you may be talking about is GPU Roundup Part 1 and Part 2.

Seems like I may have read that the timedemos included don't work anymore because of Steam updates. That wouldn't make any sense, so I may be wrong.

It looks like guru3d has a downloadable 4 meg benchmark. I don't know a thing about it.

-open console
-type record [demoname]
-run around shooting stuff
-type stop
-type timedemo [demoname]
