HL2 as seen thru a radeon 7000

I sold my 9700pro and have a Leadtek a400gt on order that won't be here for a couple of days. So I'm stuck with a radeon 7000 to play HL2 with. Surprisingly it doesn't seem to be too bad. I'll download fraps sometime today to check framrates, but it is playable. My guess is around 20-30 fps, I could be wrong. It's also playing at only 800x600 but it's better than I thought it would be. Here are some screenies.

That's suprising. I used to have a radeon 7000 and I would have never thought it would even run HL2. Is this the 64 mb version or the 32 mb card?

It's the 64mb version. I didn't think it would run it either. The card struggles with Joint Operations.

Just so you guys know. There are some parts of the game the mighty 7000 is stugglling on. Not very playable after all. It's the part where after you first get radiation damage and go outside. I guess I have to wait for new video card.



edit:frame rates are fine again. It was just that level I guess. Too much smoke and action.
